Power Unit 3 of Branch Shaturskaya GRES of PJSC Unipro has been taken out of service for scheduled intermediate maintenance until the 10th of November. The power unit was commissioned on December 1, 1972. The equipment maintenance is to be carried out as part of the plant’s summer maintenance campaign.
Power Unit 3 is to undergo the replacement of blades of the control stage of the high pressure rotor, stud of high-pressure cylinder (HPC) of the turbine unit, as well as the overhaul of the 23T transformer, expert examination of industrial safety of the Power Unit feed pipeline, steam-supply pipe of HPC, and intermediate pressure cylinder, repair of Allen Bradley hardware and software complex.
Since the beginning of 2016, current repairs have been already performed for Power Units 2, 4, 5, and 6 of Shaturskaya GRES with a total capacity of 700MW.
The major scope of the maintenance work is to be carried out by the staff of Shaturskaya GRES with the participation of contractors. The purpose of this campaign is to improve reliability and efficiency of the equipment, and ensure that the power plant is operationally ready for winter season.
