Shaturskaya GRES Branch of Unipro PJSC has completed preparations for the heating season and has ensured the launch of heat supply sources. Connection of consumers to central heating systems is planned in a schedule approved by district authorities (before 27 September: public amenities; before 5 October: residential buildings; before 10 October: other subscribers).
Within the regular maintenance program, the power plant experts have replaced about 3km of heating networks and have installed 50.38m3 of mineral wool insulation and 1,240m2 of galvanised steel insulation on pipelines featuring diameters of 57 to 530mm.
This year the workers of hydraulic and heat networks workshop of Shaturskaya GRES have used a new channel-free installation technology using pipes pre-insulated with polyurethane foam. Channel-free pipe installation allows reduction of excavation volume during the heating network repairs, performance of operational and remote control, and installation of pipelines at sites with high water table.
The performed works aimed at the increase of operation level, reliability, safety, and network performance, reduction of heat and heat-transfer agent losses, as well as losses of energy during heat transportation and distribution.
Following the results of the inspection of the heat network by Gosadmtechnadzor dated 31.08.2016, only a single administrative notes associated with Shaturskaya GRES was identified due to the lack of lighting during the repairs of the heat network section near 10, Zharova St. The comment was taken into account the very same day. The data on multiple comments on Shaturskaya GRES published in mass media do not reflect the real situation.
