Berezovskaya GRES Branch of Unipro PJSC has completed the heating network connection for consumers of the residential sector and social infrastructure facilities of Sharypovo town, Dubinino settlement and Kholmogorskoye rural community of the Krasnoyarsk Krai.
This year, the heating season in Sharypovo started a week later than usual due to warm weather in September. The connection to central heating systems was performed from 22 September through 26 September as per the schedule approved by the municipal and district authorities.
In order to prevent any complications during the heating season in Sharypovo, the power engineers were replaced and repaired over 5km of pipelines of various diameters in summer. An inspection of the isolation valve was performed, and 100 units of wedge and isolation valve of the heating network were replaced with ball valves that are more durable and easy to use. At the end of August the power engineers of Berezovskaya GRES performed hydraulic pressure tests that demonstrated the readiness of the town heating networks for the peak loads in the upcoming winter. The work of power engineers related to preparation of the heating networks for the winter season was inspected by a special committee of the city administration. The committee confirmed the complete readiness of the mixing pump station, as well as mainline and distribution heating networks of Sharypovo, to the heating season. On the basis of technical examination Berezovskaya GRES Branch of Unipro PJSC received the certificate of readiness for the 2016–2017 heating season. A similar decision was taken by the authorities of Kholmogorskoye rural community.
At the beginning of September, operational and tactical training was conducted at Berezovskaya GRES that covered the response to the emergency endangering heat supply at -25C. The training included practice of joint actions of power engineers, utilities workers, Sharypovo and Kholmogorskoye administration, and municipal and district EMERCOM services. The personnel performance during the emergency was considered appropriate and was assessed as “good”.
High-quality implementation of the repair program, as well as the implementation of investment projects aimed at the improvement of heat supply quality and reliability, makes it possible for Berezovskaya GRES Branch of Unipro PJSC to carry out heating seasons in Sharypovo and Kholmogorskoye without accidents and major failures.
