In 2016, electric power generation at Shaturskaya GRES Branch of Unipro PJSC amounted to 5,306 mln kWh, which is 8.3% higher than for the same period of 2015 (4,899 million kWh). The increase of electric power generation is conditioned first of all by operation of the equipment in full strength in summer, during the period of the highest outer air temperature.
The work load of Shaturskaya GRES was caused by high electric energy consumption in Moscow generation centre, scheduled and emergency shutdowns of power units at other power plants of the Moscow energy system. The maximum electric power generation in August 2016 amounted to 623 mln kWh, which is 28.7% higher than electric power generation in August 2015.
The heat supply at Shaturskaya GRES for 2016 amounted to 383 thousand Gcal, which is 7.8% more than for the same period of 2015 (355 thousand Gcal). This is caused by the increase of the heat loads of the consumer due to reduction in the outer air temperature in November and December 2016.
