In 2018, the power plants of Unipro generated 46.6 bln kWh, which is 3.3% less compared to the corresponding period of 2017.
The reduction of power generation was primarily due to downtimes of the generating equipment in cold reserve in accordance with the System Operator’s scheduling. At the same time, in Q4 2018, power generation increased by 11%. The increase in generation in Q4 was due to an increase in the load at Berezovskaya GRES caused by weather conditions, as well as to the operation of Power unit No. 8 of Surgutskaya GRES-2, which was undergoing major inspection at the end of 2017.
Heat power generation increased in the reporting period by 4.3% compared to 2017, and totalled 2,218.7 thnd Gcal. The growth was due to weather conditions.
