Over the nine months of 2019, Unipro PJSC power plants generated 33.9 bln kWh, which is higher by 3.3% compared to the same period of 2018.
In Q3 2019, the electric power growth accumulated for HY1 (+11.9%) reduced down to 3.3% (for 9 months). The generation volume decrease in Q3 of this year was due to:
shut-down of power units at Smolenskaya GRES due to the chimney stack repairs;
inspections of CCGT units at Surgutskaya GRES-2 and Yaivinskaya GRES;
downtime of generating equipment at Shaturskaya GRES in cold reserve due to weather conditions (summer temperatures were higher in 2018);
reduced capacity utilization of steam-power units at Surgutskaya GRES-2 due to the lack of grid congestions in the Tyumen Region (in August 2018, an increase in the operating equipment of the power plant was needed to ensure the power system reliability);
reduced capacity utilization of power units at Berezovskaya GRES by the system operator due to the high level of hydropower generation in Siberia.
Heat power generation amounted to 1348.1 thousand Gcal (-7.6% compared to the same period of 2018). The decrease was also caused by the weather conditions.
