From January to March 2020, Unipro PJSC power plants generated 12.0 bn kWh.
The decrease in electric power generation (-11.8% compared to the same period of 2019) was due to the unusually warm weather in Q1 2020 and, as a result, a high level of hydro generation in both pricing zones.
Significantly higher results of Q1 2019 were due to high demand for electric power, and therefore, higher generation volumes at Surgutskaya GRES-2 and Berezovskaya GRES according to the System Operator’s scheduling.
Heat power generation amounted to 723.2 Gcal (-10.7% as compared to 2019). The decrease was caused by the weather conditions.
