On 21 August, employees of the ecology group of the safety, fire and environmental protection and safety department, arranged a campaign to collect waste paper at Shaturskaya GRES.
The campaign was held as part of a corporate Environmental Day. Power engineers were enthusiastic about the collection of waste paper: representatives of workshops and departments provided waste paper, boxes, old newspapers and magazines for recycling. In just one day, more than 2 tons of waste paper were collected on the premises of the branch allowing to save several trees.
This event has already become a tradition. Last year, the employees of Shaturskaya GRES submitted about the same amount of paper for recycling. Please note that 1 ton of waste paper saves 10 trees from cutting down, which in turn emit oxygen for 30 people, saves 1,000 kW of electricity and 20,000 liters of fresh water.
