Effective from 17 May, Unipro PJSC Surgutskaya GRES-2 Branch has launched preparations for the 2021–2022 heating season. The preventive maintenance campaign is scheduled to comprise two phases.
During Phase 1 from 7 June through 16 July 2021, the branch will repair equipment located on the power plant’s site: pumps, heaters, and pipelines. The campaign provides for hydraulic pressure testing of pipelines in order to detect defects, cleaning and washing of heating equipment.
During Phase 2 from 19 July through 1 August 2021, power engineers will repair the system water heaters and valves on unit boilers, perform the necessary metal control involving defect rectification on system water main pipelines and restore heat insulation.
Completion of the scheduled scope of repairs will ensure accident-free operation of the equipment during the 2021–2022 heating season.
