Yaivinskaya GRES has closed the heating season of 2021-2022

The Yaiva Settlement in the Alexandrovsky District of the Perm Territory has closed the 2021–2022 heating season.  According to the resolution of the administration of Alexandrovsky municipal district, heat supply was terminated on May 16.

Yaivinskaya GRES Branch of Unipro PJSC serves as a utility provider for the Yaiva work settlement. This Power Plant supplies heat to the residential sector and social amenities.

The heating season started as scheduled on September 15, 2021. Over the course of 8 months, Yaivinskaya GRES produced 75.4 thousand Gcal of heat, which less than the previous year’s figure (during the 2020–2021 season, the Branch supplied 87.9 thousand Gcal). The decrease is due to a relatively warm winter compared to the previous period.

Heat was supplied to the consumers of the Yaiva Settlement without fail. The Power Plant had no serious accidents and process upsets that could have led to interruptions in the heat supply to the population.

After the heat supply systems were switched over to the summer mode in full, Yaivinskaya GRES has embarked upon preparations for the new heating season. As part of preparations for the winter season, the Branch will repair the heating network pipelines and test them for mechanical tightness and strength.

Currently, the Power Plant uses 17.7 km (two-pipe) of the leased heating network pipelines in the Yaiva Settlement. The length of the main and district heating network pipelines managed by the Branch exceeds 6.5 km (two-pipe). To make sure that the coming heating season is trouble-free, power engineers are planning to replace and repair 1033 lm of variable-diameter (two-pipe) sub-main pipelines in the settlement.

Besides, the Branch has launched preparations of the equipment for the 2022–2023 heating season. The activities scheduled by the Branch are intended to ensure reliable heat supply of consumers, reduce losses during transportation and distribution of heat, and increase the hydraulic stability of the heating network.
