The non-destructive test laboratory of Unipro’s Yaivinskaya GRES successfully passed the competence validation procedure with the scope of accreditation expanded in accordance with SDANK-01-2020 (Attestation Rules and Basic Requirements for Non-Destructive Test Laboratories). The respective certificate was received.
During a month, experts were inspecting the laboratory operations (technical equipment, documented procedures and their implementation, documentary framework, staff skill levels).
The scope of attestation includes 3 types and 8 subtypes of units under test, and 5 methods of non-destructive testing (NDT). The attestation is held every three years. It must be passed by plants that perform NDT of various technical devices and structures included in hazardous industrial facilities.
The non-destructive test laboratory of Yaivinskaya GRES is part of the Technical Diagnostics Department. NDT is required to prove the reliability based on parameters tested: properties and quality of materials, workpieces and finished products. The basic NDT methods are: visual and dimensional inspection, magnetic particle testing, ultrasonic testing, liquid penetrant testing, vibrodiagnostic testing.
