The upgraded steam power unit SPU-830 MW of Surgutskaya-2 GRES has proven its design technical and economic capabilities stated by the manufacturer.
The guarantee testing has proven the power unit’s rated installed capacity of 830 MW. Specific heat consumption for electric power generation is measured at 1833.3 kcal/kWh. During the testing, the maximum electric capacity reached 836 MW.
The refurbishment of the power unit resulted in a decrease of fuel consumption for electric power generation. Specific fuel consumption for electric power generation decreased by 2 grams of fuel/kWh.
It is important to note that the process of electric power generation at Power Unit No. 1 now sees a decrease in generation of greenhouse gases.
Refurbishment of Surgutskaya-2 GRES Branch Power Unit No. 1 is yet another step towards one of Unipro PJSC sustainable development goals: reducing the environmental impact.
