Unipro PJSC’s Shaturskaya GRES branch successfully completed certification tests of power unit No. 5 for compliance with SO UES JSC Standard – STO 59012820.27.100.002-2013 “Regulations for Participation of Power Units of Heat Power Plants in the Rated Primary Frequency Control (RPFC) and Automatic Secondary Frequency and Active Power Transfer Control”.
The tests were carried out in three stages: verification of devices connected to the power automatic control system, simulation of artificially created frequency disturbances in the grid, testing of real participation of the power unit in the rated primary frequency control. Successfully completed tests will allow the participation of the power unit in RPFC, and thus for maintaining the operation reliability of the power grid.
Currently, power units Nos. 4, 5 and 7 of CCGT-400 are certified for compliance with SO UES JSC requirements to power units that provide the system service – RPFC.
