Power Unit No. 2 was taken out of service on September 1. Work is underway on the steam turbine: opening of the cylinders, checking alignment, inspection of metal parts of the casing and rotor.
A considerable volume of metal inspection activities is in progress. More than 108 pipelines and vessels are to be inspected.
In addition, power engineers will replace KAG-24 (24 kV complex automatic generator modular package units) and modernize 6 kV KRU (complex switch yard).
In November, the hood of high pressure heater 8B, which is being manufactured at Taganrog factory and will arrive at the Plant next month, will be replaced at Power Unit 2.
As for the Power Unit boiler equipment, components of the 2nd stage high-pressure convection superheater will be replaced here.
All activities will be completed in December 2022, according to the approved schedule.
