CCGT (combined cycle gas turbine plant) WTP (water treatment plant) section at Yaivinskaya GRES takes an active part in the import substitution program, since the equipment and all components and SPTA of the WTP are imported. Since February of this year, specialists from the chemical and steam and gas turbine shops have started selecting equivalents of the most critical equipment items, which are being replaced on a scheduled basis and, accordingly, are purchased annually. One such item that is replaced annually are the filter elements for the cartridge filters installed upstream of the reverse osmosis unit. Until recently, these filters were being supplied with filter elements made in Great Britain.
When selecting the equivalents, the specialists working at the CCGT WTP, together with the procurement unit, found a Russian company that manufactured similar filter elements referring to the provided drawings and the requested parameters. At present, the purchased trial batch has been successfully tested on the operating equipment. In the future, the company will continue to purchase the filter elements by this Russian manufacturer.
Also, a Russian equivalent of the German sorbent, which is used in the tanks of demineralized water produced by the water treatment plant to maintain its quality within the regulatory values, has been selected. A trial batch has been purchased and is currently being tested.
Thus, dependence on imported supplies is eliminated for at least two annually purchased items. The implementation of these items alone will provide Yaivinskaya GRES with an economic effect of more than 500 thousand RUB annually starting from 2022.
Specialists envisage measures for further substitution of imported equipment, including chemical reagents and filter elements for water and condensate treatment.
