Smolenskaya GRES took part in the #VmesteYarche (Brighter Together) festival, which was held in Smolensk in the Nightingale Grove Park. The event was organized by the Department for Energy, Energy Efficiency, and Tariff Policy in Smolensk Oblast.
This national festival promotes energy-saving ways of life and the introduction of advanced energy-saving technologies among the population.
Employees of Unipro's Smolenskaya GRES branch presented the "Quiz from Uniproshka" site at the festival. They prepared questions on traffic rules and energy conservation for the Smolensk youth.
Children enjoyed answering interesting and informative questions: how many eyes do traffic lights have, where do cars sleep, what colour of traffic lights allows us to cross the road, where does electricity live, whether it is necessary to turn off the lights during the day, and so on. For correct answers, each quiz participant received a reflective badge and a comic colouring book with tips from Uniproshka.
"In preparing for the festival, we chose a children's site focused on educating the younger generation. About a hundred children took part in the quiz. We were pleased that most of the kids answered the questions correctly and could explain not only traffic rules, but also how to save resources at home," commented Sergey Novikov, head of the press centre at Smolenskaya GRES.
In addition, the festival featured interactive quizzes, master classes, children's competitions, sports competitions, performances of creative teams, waste batteries collection, and sports games among teams of power companies in the region. Smolenskaya GRES team took first place in beach soccer.
