In 2023, Unipro PJSC power plants increased electricity production by 4.8%

In 2023, power plants of Unipro PJSC increased electricity production compared to 2022 by 4.8% to 56.5 bn kWh.

The generation increase in the reporting period was due to power demand growth in both price zones. Thus, in the first price zone, the largest power plant of Unipro PJSC, Surgutskaya GRES-2, increased generation in 2023 by 6.0% up to 32.2 bn kWh. In the second price zone, despite the increased load of hydroelectric power plants in Siberia compared to 2022, the generation of the second largest by capacity Unipro power plant, Berezovskaya GRES, remained at last year’s level and amounted to 10.9 bn kWh.

Heat production in 2023 compared to 2022 decreased by 1.2% and amounted to 1926.0 thousand Gcal. The slight decrease is due to weather factors.
