An operations improvement project using LEAN Production tools launched at Shaturskaya GRES

OJSC “E.On Russia” launched an operations improvement project using LEAN Production* tools at Shaturskaya GRES. The project will enable the efficient use of available resources to maximize return at optimum costs without compromising reliability and ensuring compliance with technical regulations and legislation of Russian Federation.

Management incentives are aimed at:

  • optimizing production, repair and maintenance costs ensuring required reliability and safety levels;
  • raising labor productivity;
  • improving operation processes and enhancing internal communications in production, maintenance and logistics.

The project should create an environment for continuous improvement when the motion towards cost reduction and waste elimination is driven mostly by the Company’s employees rather than by incentives of the management.

For said purpose an internal LEAN-team will be created and trained in OJSC “E.On Russia” for carrying test implementation of LEAN tools at Shaturskaya GRES and further distribution of archived results to other affiliates of the Company.
